This compressor demonstrates a local image-size reduction workflow without requiring an upload to a Nofyi processing server.

Designed for: Site owners, designers, and developers preparing a small image for a prototype or web page.

How to use this tool

Choose an image under the stated size limit, select JPEG or WebP output and a quality value, and press Compress. The browser decodes the image onto a canvas and creates a downloadable result.

How the result is produced

The FileReader and Image APIs read the selected file locally. A canvas draws the image and toBlob encodes a new file using the requested MIME type and quality setting.

Test examples

A large photographic JPEG can often be reduced by choosing WebP or a lower JPEG quality. Flat graphics and transparent PNGs may need a different format and should be checked visually.

Limitations

Canvas output can change metadata, transparency, color profiles, animation, and visual quality. The tool does not replace an asset pipeline, accessibility review, responsive sizing, or malware scanning.

Privacy and processing

The selected image is processed in the browser and is not uploaded by this tool. Use a controlled workflow for confidential files or shared devices.
